The Horse World Expo in Harrisburg, PA is an event I have been attending since I was 12 years old. I remember going with my best friends (who are still my best friends today), listening to demos and filling the car full of great shopping finds! I gave a presentation titled “The Greatest Horse Show on Earth + The World’s Most Versatile Breed = The All-American Quarter Horse Congress”. I made sure to highlight the history of the Congress, special events, shopping, youth activities, the Queen contest, and much more! Next, I was so surprised to see that there were 13 Congress Queen Contest sponsors at the event! Many of them I haven’t seen since the Congress, so it was so great to catch up and hear about their plans headed into summer. This trip was the first time my mom got to see me as Congress Queen which was special and glad to have my Queen mom there to introduce to meet my wonderful sponsors and be my photographer! Friday night we attended Theatre Equus, an equine show with a variety of acts from Roman Riding, Trick Riding, Bridleless Jumping, and even a Congress Freestyle Reining Champion! The next day, I had partnered with Pennsylvania 4H Equine Program to host a meet & greet event. Without my involvement in 4H I would have never gotten to go to the Congress for the first time. I took pictures with youth, handed out autograph cards, and inspired families to get in contact with 4H clubs in their county.
