Courtney Sturgill Named 2011 Congress Queen

At the conclusion of a beautiful coronation ceremony Sunday, October 23 at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, Courtney Sturgill, sponsored bythe Virginia Quarter Horse Association, was named the 2011 Congress Queen.  Ms. Sturgill placed first in the oral examination, second in the written exam and third in horsemanship.  First runner up was Alyssa Freeman of the Illinois Quarter Horse Association, and Cecilia Purtee, sponsored by the Ohio Quarter Horse Racing Association, was named second runner up.  Page Potter, of the North Carolina Quarter Horse Association, was awarded “Miss Congeniality.” Read More...
