All About 2014 Congress Queen, Carly Kidner

Carly represented the Ohio Quarter Horse Association to a winning title in 2014

Carly Kidner, 23, is from Ashtabula, Ohio and graduated from Hiram College this past May with Summa Cum Laude honors, where she studied Psychology. During her time at Hiram, she served as a teaching assistant, writing tutor, member of the cross country team, and studied abroad in Zambia and Australia. She plans to continue her education at law school. 

Carly has been active in the Quarter Horse industry for her entire life, attending every Quarter Horse Congress since she was 3 months old. She enjoys showing in the All-Around events and has also showed in the buckskin circuit during her youth accumulating several World Championships, as well as the All-Around winner at the International Buckskin World Show. Currently, Carly is showing her bay gelding, Lopen Assets, in western pleasure and showmanship. Together the team has won an NSBA Reserve World Championship and Reserve Tom Powers Championship in non-pro 2 year old western pleasure. 

When not on horseback, Carly is most passionate about her volunteer work at Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center, as well as Nellie’s Catwalk for Kids, an organization that helps better the lives of children battling cancer. She also loves playing tennis and snow skiing in Colorado with her family.
